Hotel Vdara

The location was good, but the hotel was below average. There was a huge pillar in the middle of my room, and breakfast, though complimentary, came with a coupon issued each day. The training room was on the 7th floor, yet the floor list only went up to 6. There was no washroom on 7, so you had to go down to 6. The bathroom dispensers weren’t marked to show which held body wash or shampoo. The automatic entrance doors were extremely loud, and the lift trembled between floors.

We went for food after 2:30PM, but the staff’s attitude and service weren’t up to standard. We ordered one thing and got something else, and they seemed to have no presence of mind. The first time my group came with Business Network India (BNI), the service was fantastic, since hotel management is also a BNI member. People should choose this restaurant only if they’re BNI members.

They let us check out almost three hours later and handled all our requests politely. The receptionists, especially Ms Bindu, and the managers were consistently courteous. The hotel was clean, the location was convenient, and breakfast was good. A very pleasant stay for an affordable price, with excellent value. Recommended for the cleanliness, staff, management, breakfast, location and price.

The staff weren’t helpful. Because of an emergency on cyclone day, I asked to check in an hour early since I had an important meeting. They just said I’d have to pay 1500 to get the room before check-in time. I’d already paid almost 3k for the room, not including that extra 1500, and that wasn’t acceptable.
