Hyatt Place Vijayawada

What made the stay memorable was how warmly everyone treated me. From the gate and front desk to the restaurant and room staff, people were attentive and quick to help. Sudipta, Narendra, Arpita, Uddhav, and others whose names I can’t remember all made sure I was comfortable. I’d choose this place again when I’m back in Vijayawada.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of choices and really good food. The staff were friendly, and the service was strong throughout. Mr. Dilip Tomar in housekeeping was especially attentive and generous with his help, and Jyothi at reception made check-in and checkout easy and pleasant. A few things could use attention: the walls and paintings need better upkeep, there’s no pool or outdoor area, and there are no smoking rooms, which could be inconvenient for some. Still, I had a wonderful stay at Hyatt and would recommend it for a comfortable visit and good food.

The food we managed to get was good. The night room-service menu looked interesting, but when we ordered, we were told to choose from what was actually available, so we went with Sambar and Curd Rice. Staff could use more guidance on how to speak with customers. We were only there overnight. We’d requested a room with a view, but the window was covered with what looked like cement and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. That spoiled the room for me and made me wonder if I was even at Hyatt. We also arrived about five minutes late for breakfast and were told it had already closed. I hope other guests have a better stay than we did.

The function itself went very well, with great food and excellent service for our group of a hundred. Ms Sesha, Asst Manager, helped us reserve Ayara function hall and plan the menu, and her suggestions were excellent. Mr Uddhav, Bar Manger, also made sure service during the event was very good. I was happy with the whole experience, though I didn’t use the rooms and haven’t rated them.
