Homey Suites - Vizag Beach

The bathroom had no privacy shutters, which was especially uncomfortable for the women in our group. We also found bedbugs in the mattress and cockroaches along with bedbugs in one of the rooms, pointing to poor cleanliness and maintenance. Our booked suite at Homey Suites, Vizag had a drainage pipe coming out inside, so we agreed to move down to a family room, but that room was worse. The receptionist/manager first agreed to refund the price difference after the downgrade, then refused and told us to complain to Goibibo. His behavior was unprofessional. The stay caused a lot of stress and discomfort. Apart from the location, I wouldn't recommend the property unless these issues are fixed.

There wasn't even a restaurant, despite the claim that there was, and they didn't provide drinking water at Homey Meadows. The bathroom there was small, and the room was the best they had to offer. We booked a four bedroom on MakeMyTrip but got a two bedroom, which made it hard for our family of three to sleep. The female receptionist first said the hotel had laundry service, then two hours later claimed there was none. She was a liar and inefficient, and a male receptionist misbehaved with us. Homey Suites kept us waiting and shifted us to their other property, Homey Meadows, without telling us when we returned at 11 AM as instructed. At 5 AM, they wouldn't let us in, though Coromandel Express reaches Vizag at 4:30 AM and nobody was at reception. We had to pay Rs. 1000 at another cheap guest house just to stay a few hours. We struggled to get a room, got no rest, and felt harassed. MakeMyTrip and this hotel both let us down. Don't go with your family. Disgusting experience, never coming back.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The food was overpriced and tasted awful, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly, with dust everywhere and used towels left behind. The AC didn't work. When I complained, staff took hours to respond and still didn't fix it.

The front desk service was a Mistry, and along with the bed bugs and AC problem, it made for a dark, memorable experience. If you're thinking of booking with family, think twice.
