Hotel A.V.S Residency by OYO Rooms

The lodge charges 1,600 for a double room, though it's not worth even 800 rupees. Two footpath-type hangers in the wardrobe were provided for two people. There's no WiFi, generator, or food service, and they don't even put a water bottle or glass in the room. The lift didn't work all day, and hygiene was below standard. Hotel AVS residency provides nothing. You'd be better off staying on the footpath. This is a horrible spot in the world. The lodge is managed by two illiterate rowdies who don't understand any language other than Telugu. They misbehaved when I asked for the used bedsheet to be changed at check-in. They said it could only be changed the next day because the staff concerned wouldn't be there after 4 PM. When I complained, one of them told me to check out, as if there were people waiting in a queue 😃. In fact, only three or four rooms seemed occupied, and the place was mostly empty. Never stay here.

The location is handy: you can find everything as soon as you step outside. It's only 1 to 1.5 km from Duvvada station pf 1. There's no parking, and they don't provide water in the room. WiFi is available, with decent speed.

The AC, TV, and hot water all worked fine, and the property itself was good, with okay rooms. But the bedsheets weren't as hygienic as I'd expect, and the broken glass in all the bathroom windows meant you could see outside. There were lots of mosquitoes, though they did provide all out. They also couldn't provide a receipt.

The rooms are clean and furnished, and the staff are helpful, but you have to ask for basic things like a water bottle or towels. There's no food at the hotel, and good restaurants are far away. The reception has nowhere to sit, and the room TVs only get Tamil or Telugu channels.
