Hotel Meghalaya

Sambar idli came cold even in the morning, and I had to ask before they brought any chutney. The floor was so dirty I watched where I stepped. There didn't seem to be proper cleaning staff, and the waiters barely responded. You're lucky if anyone takes your order. Hope your experience goes better.

The South Indian breakfast was enjoyable, though at 380Rs/ Person it felt expensive. Lunch was good value. Checking in four hours early costs half a night's room rent. I stayed here on a friend's recommendation. It's a good property and the rooms are cozy, but there were a lot of Cockroaches. The toilets were clean, although water clogged near the WC and Wash Basin. Ask for a room in the new building, from the second floor up. The ground and first floor rooms were poorly maintained and smelled of smoke. I'd stay again if they fixed those issues.

Vaishali, the vegetarian restaurant, was a highlight for me, with good quality food. Breakfast was average, and service slowed down at busy times. The staff were courteous and helpful, so service overall was satisfactory. Hotel Meghalaya is centrally placed in Visakhapatnam, near Jagadamba Junction, which worked well for business and getting around the city. Rooms are functional and reasonably clean, though some interiors feel old and could use renovation. I'd say it's better for a short stay than a luxury trip.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a peaceful feel with decor I liked. My room was cozy and spotless, with a comfortable bed. They provided the essentials too, including complimentary water, toiletries, and a nice blanket. I had an amazing, relaxing stay at Meghalaya Hotel and would gladly come back.
