Anandam Clarks Inn Suites Vrindavan

The one thing going for this hotel is the location, which is convenient and easy to reach. The room and bathroom were in very poor shape, though. There was grime and staining in the bathroom, the exhaust fan didn’t work, and the room smelled unpleasant. We also found spider webs and signs of seepage, while the back balcony was dirty and had debris lying around. Those conditions made it hard to enjoy our one-day stay. The hotel wasn’t clean or functioning properly, and we left disappointed. Based on what we experienced, I wouldn’t recommend it. A place to stay should keep rooms clean and its amenities working, and this one fell short. If you’re looking in this area, I’d consider other accommodation.

The staff seemed stretched thin, with only two or three people working long hours and unable to look after guests properly. That’s unfair to them as well as to the people staying there. Our geyser didn’t work, the washroom was dirty, and damp walls left a persistent musty smell. There was no proper service during our stay, and the hotel is poorly maintained. Calling it four-star feels misleading. I wouldn’t recommend it unless the facilities and staff management improve considerably.

After waiting around five hours, we gave up and booked somewhere else. Our trip was ruined. I had reserved through MakeMyTrip, but when I arrived the hotel staff said they were overbooked and had no room for us. Around 20 people had the same problem that day. Police were called, and we heard this happens regularly at Anandam Hotel. Meanwhile, people already staying there were arguing with staff about poor service and no water, and the reception staff disappeared.

The location was the only good part. The toilet seat wobbled because it wasn’t fixed to the floor, the shower didn’t work, and the bathroom latch was broken. They gave us a room before check-in, which I assumed was a goodwill gesture, then charged 500 Rs for two hours. When a guest arrived and used our existing glasses, I asked the manager for more. He was very rude and said they couldn’t provide any. We couldn’t get towels either. They seem able to do business because they’re in Vrindavan, but put no effort into giving guests a good experience.
