Power went out and there was no generator backup, and the hot water was only warm at the tap, which was difficult with kids. Apart from that, it was a good place for a family trip. The people were helpful and decent, and the rooms were comfortable, spacious, and neatly maintained. The ambience was good, hospitality was very good, and they served homely, fresh food, even for the kids, instead of using premixes.

We stayed one night on 31st of January 2026, two families with nine people altogether. The property has lots of greenery and is well maintained, and seems among the largest hotels in Yelagiri by total area. There’s ample parking and a kids’ play area with slides and a few other installations. The mid-size swimming pool and kids pool were in good condition, with a changing room beside them. Bonfire with music was arranged at night. Hospitality was very good. Staff were supportive and quick to respond to service requests. Our rooms were neat and clean, and all linens were crisp and very clean. AC, mini fridge, geyser, and TV worked, but there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms and mobile network and internet were poor. The complimentary breakfast was our favourite part. It was available from 8:30 am till 10:00am, unlimited, and really good in both quality and taste. There were soft, hot idlis, small crispy vadas, two chutneys, thick tasty hot vegetable sumber, hot set dosa and puri, khara pongal, aloo palaya/sagu, kesribhat, bread and jam, tea, coffee, and hot and cold drinking water. We ate lunch outside. We ordered dinner around 9:00 pm and it arrived in the room around 9:30 pm. It tasted good, though there’s room to improve. We also noticed one corner of a window curtain sagging and a broken corner on the steel bathroom rack. I told the authorities, who assured me they’d fix both. A fully active restaurant would complete the place. There’s a large, well-maintained restaurant area where breakfast buffet is set up, but currently they serve room orders placed about 30 mins to 40 mins ahead. Barbecue by request and pre-booking would also improve the experience. We had a nice stay and, based on our experience, highly recommend it. I’d rate it 4.5 out of 5, but there was no option to give an additional .5, so I rated it 4 out of 5.

Several other families had the same problems we did, along with air conditioning and electricity issues, and those families chose not to stay. We had all paid the full amount and asked for refunds, but there was no commercial gesture. The responses were false, arrogant, and contemptuous. We were also told guests could get a 15% discount on their next stay for leaving a positive Google review, so the reviews seem misleading. The food was poor, with badly cooked idly and omelette, and the dining area was dated and dirty. The pool water was cloudy and the pool was dirty. Our room had not been cleaned: excrement in the toilet, live and dead cockroaches, including huge ones around 7 cm long, unemptied bins, lots of dust, and a very dirty bathroom. After asking several times and showing the front desk manager what needed attention, we came back in the evening to find nothing had been done. We had to follow the manager to make sure the cleaning actually happened. The woman and man at the front desk were inefficient, dishonest, and disrespectful to guests. They pretended to work to avoid dealing with problems, and the staff didn’t seem concerned about guest issues. The price was high and completely unjustified. The hotel is very poorly maintained, with inefficient, unprofessional staff. An extremely disappointing stay, the worst experience in India. AVOID IT! HORRIBLE.

The campfire in the evening was a great way to unwind and spend time together, and they served the food fresh and really tasty. It was a nice family getaway, calm and comfortable, with clean, well-maintained rooms at an affordable price. Good hospitality and value for money. I’d recommend it for a comfortable stay with good food and a cozy campfire.
