Naksha Tree Hotels - Yelagiri

The facilities didn’t live up to what was promised, and that made the stay uncomfortable. The rooms were poorly maintained and not clean, service was unsatisfactory, and staff response fell short. Hospitality overall was disappointing. This was one of the worst resort stays I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone hoping for a pleasant, relaxing break. Please don’t book this resort.

The room cost far too much for a place with no facilities. There was a bathroom heater, but no hot water came out. They didn’t provide towels, soap, or even water. A really bad experience, avoid staying here.

If you’re only after a room to sleep in, maybe this place will do, but don’t come expecting a fun stay with friends. We booked through the agoda app, which advertised free WiFi and complimentary breakfast. In reality, WiFi only worked around reception and the connection was poor, and there was no breakfast included. They wouldn’t provide drinking water, only bottles they charged for. Don’t ask them for coffee or tea either: they charged 20 rs for a tiny cup of hot water and called it coffee. The restroom taps weren’t working properly, and they didn’t fix them after we complained. It felt like a complete scam. I’d give it 1.2/5. Check which services are actually available before booking.

The food was the highlight for me. The maid cooked traditional south Indian dishes that reminded me of home. I also borrowed the bicycle they had on the property and rode around Yelagiri lake. The caretakers and housekeeping staff were friendly, and I enjoyed listening to their old, amusing stories. I’d picked it as the cheapest deal in Yelagiri on ClearTrip and was a bit wary after reading other reviews. I mainly wanted somewhere to unwind away from the city. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was economical, and I enjoyed my stay.
