At 3 AM, when we reached Yercaud on an unplanned midnight hill trip, most hotels were asleep and not answering calls. This property was active and someone was available, which is a real plus for late-night travelers. But the first person who offered us a room took us somewhere else and showed us a badly maintained room. We declined and came back here. The price we were quoted then was much higher than expected, but at 3:30 AM we had no other option. The room quality didn't justify it. They insisted on full payment before handing over the keys, basically saying to pay up or leave. That wasn't customer-friendly at that hour. Power kept cutting out despite a generator, and the geyser worked only half the time, so getting hot water was a struggle. We asked for the room to be cleaned, but nobody came. The first day was not good at all. Things improved somewhat on day two. Maybe I'd gotten used to it, but the staff were friendlier and we had some good conversations, which made the stay more relaxed. The main advantage is the location: right on the main road and close to the city, with restaurants, shops and essentials easy to reach. It's also convenient for travelling to all the sightseeing spots in Yercaud. This was a mixed bag. If you arrive late, it might be your only option, and it does stay active 24x7. Just don't expect great value for the price, and come prepared for basic service.
