The room was spacious, and I felt safe. The staff were welcoming and the location is good. Free Wi-Fi, too. But the carpet wasn't clean, and the price felt too high. There was only water in the minibar, no coffee machine or kettle in the room, and not much choice at breakfast. The road outside the hotel isn't paved.

Breakfast was pretty basic, and the hotel is definitely a little expensive. Still, the staff were super friendly. Manawi Basha is a great name in Iraq, and this place could become number one in Basra, though it'll take some time. The owner is refurbishing the hotel. I've seen the photos, and I think it could be one of the best in the area.

Everything felt old, dirty, and in really bad shape, and the service was awful. This used to be the best hotel in Basra, but now it feels like a scam and isn't worth a dollar. I'd say don't risk staying here.

I really liked the breakfast buffet, and the room was comfortable. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were good, and security felt good too. Free Wi-Fi. A great hotel to stay at.

The price is far too high for the service. The room couches were torn and broken, the toilets flushed weakly, and the bathtub drain stoppers had been removed. The water heaters only ran on demand. There were no room coffee machines or even kettles for tea, and the minibars were empty. The hotel restaurant wasn't operating, with no dinner or snacks served to rooms. Room door security was poor, wrong key cards could open your room at any time. Not recommended.
