I was happy with the location and found the hotel comfortable and quiet, with good service. The cafeteria breakfast was delicious. Still, it wasn’t especially clean: there was dust around the fridge, and the furniture was old. The hotel needs renovation by skilled people, and it didn’t feel very deluxe. My room had no landline phone. When I wanted coffee, I sometimes went to the lounge, but at other times I wanted it in my room. I got no response when I ordered through WhatsApp. The WiFi was very bad. Manager Goran helped me extend my stay at good rates, and he was kind, helpful, and respectful. The booking matched what was listed on the official website. But Ibrahim, one of the staff, interfered too much and imposed his own decision. He charged me 53,000 Iraqi dinars for a few hours on my last night when I checked out at 12:00 AM, which really bothered me. Thank you, Hussein and Noor, for your generosity and kindness. Special thanks as well to the manager, Mr. Gouran. Constructive criticism is necessary, and honestly, the cleanliness needs work.

After a 600km drive with three adults and two babies, we arrived at the hotel an hour before the stated time. I had booked two days earlier and received three confirmation emails, but the property owner canceled the reservation anyway. He spoke disrespectfully, didn’t apologize for the mistake, and offered no solution. I have the emails to support this, and I’ll definitely sue him.

The location and the price I negotiated with them made up for the experience. I first went inside to check whether the air was smoke-free enough for me, and it was much too smoky. I went next door and it seemed great, until I’d checked in and was stuck there.

The hotel was very clean and carefully organized. The staff were professional, caring, and respectful, and kept trying to make us comfortable and happy. It really felt like being at home. We had a wonderful experience, with service and care that went beyond what we expected.
