The rooms are big and it’s a nice hotel, though a bit expensive. Service was decent, but we expected better. The receptionist said we could use the pool for free, but when we got there it was dark, the lights were off, and it was much too crowded to use. The stairs inside the pool were broken, so there was no way to get in. The gym was completely dark too. Nobody was around to help or switch on the lights. The pool, gym, and sauna seemed to be unavailable on purpose.

I’m glad I picked this place. It’s rated four stars, though I think it deserves five. The service was the best I’ve had at a hotel, and the helpful staff really try to make you feel good. I’d definitely recommend it.

Miserable hotel, miserable service, and prices that feel like theft. Booking.com showed my room at 81 thousand Iraqi dinars. Once the booking was completed, the charge was converted to 67 dollars. We accepted that, even though the exchange rate used was much higher than the market rate. But at the hotel we paid 102 thousand Iraqi dinars, 21% more than the original price. The room had no towels, there was water on the bathroom floor, and there were tea sets but no tea. The TV showed just 5 channels from a list of over 100. Then they messaged me asking whether I wanted to use the hotel taxi service. Sure, they must be dreaming.

The hotel is a little isolated, which may be the one downside. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean, service was good, and the staff were friendly. Mohammed at reception was by far the best person we met in Erbil. I’d highly recommend staying here.
