Tara Hotel

Bugs were scattered behind the bed, and there were lots of them. When we entered our room, little black bugs were all over the floor and under the pillows. Didn't anyone notice them while preparing the room? Instead of apologizing and moving us to a better room, they downgraded us to a dingy one with barely any natural light. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and the toilet took about 30-45 minutes to refill. That's uncomfortable when you're sharing a room and have to wait that long to flush. In my 17-day trip through Iran, this was the worst hotel I stayed in. The picture below shows some of the bugs.

I had an important meeting in the morning and needed to sort out my outfit, but the receptionist wouldn't give me an iron after working hours. There wasn't an iron or ironing board in the room, and they had no spare one to lend. They also charged for the laundry facility. Shameful. The safe in my room didn't work either. I went to reception, but they weren't helpful. After asking for help several times and getting nowhere, I gave up. The bathroom doors were poorly renovated, too. I'm very disappointed and would never recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel is good, but there's an immoral employee at reception. The treatment is very bad.

The restaurant food is terrible, and the toilet area is too small. The hotel isn't four stars, not even three. At the entrance there are stairs with no ramp for a wheelchair or stroller. The staff don't take requests seriously and may show up an hour later with only part of what you ordered. They came to my room early in the morning to wake me and ask if I needed anything. I asked for water and toilet paper, but they didn't have either then and said they'd bring them soon, which meant disturbing me again. I gave up. The reception staff aren't very good at handling problems, and they obviously don't care.
