Centrum Hotel

Don't expect a typical hotel room here. Once we'd put down our two suitcases, there was barely space to move, and getting into bed meant climbing over my partner because there was no room to walk around it. There's no TV in the room either. The restaurant next door, though, is excellent and has good food.

The location is excellent, but after a few stays here, this may well have been my last. Our spacious, recently renovated room seemed unfinished, with an awkward layout that didn't feel very functional. There was no TV or radio, and we couldn't get online without a password that wasn't anywhere in the room. We were on the top floor, and the balcony was probably the best part. The elevator ride felt like it took a year each time :-) We'd booked two nights and thought about adding one or two more on our last day. That changed when we heard the price: the extra nights cost twice what we'd paid before, despite there being no housekeeping. The towels never arrived, nor did the extra pillow we asked for on the first day or the additional cushion.

The rooms seem geared toward luxury, though they were released to the public early. There's no TV, with the excuse that guests should talk to each other, which is a bold and risky reason to leave one out. We couldn't even find a WiFi password. There was no coffee or tea, and no explanation for that either. They wanted 40k to extend for a third night, which definitely wasn't worth it. Next door, there's an upgraded suite with a mountain view for 30k and better service to discover. There are ways this place could improve, so choose wisely 😉

The location is excellent, right in the center, and parking is available nearby. Breakfast was okay, though the choice was limited. Still, I can't recommend the place: the room was old and things were broken, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, and the entrance door was warped. Paint was peeling across the whole room.
