We had a great location and plenty of room for five people over two nights, including one person on the sofa bed. It’s a cool historic house in a nice spot. Our first night was quiet because we were the only guests. The second night, other people arrived, and we could hear them coming in and walking up the stairs from our ground-floor two-bedroom apartment. Their late-night activity was loud downstairs. The Internet also didn’t work. They said it was an issue with our phone’s security, but their own TV wasn’t getting Internet either. The router was connected to devices, but not to an Internet source. We had a MiFi from our rental car, so managed without it, but the staff weren’t helpful about fixing the problem.

The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out. We loved the loft and felt at home during our four nights in the North. It was convenient for heading out to explore, and town was an easy walk for dinner each night. The only issue, and the reason for the lower room rating, was one night when neighbors woke us from a deep sleep as they came into their unit, then kept us awake until 2am. Guests should be considerate and keep quiet at night. This is a historic house with no insulation between units.

The nicest place we stayed on the whole trip. It’s a beautiful old building, and they replied quickly to my emails. The washer was very handy, though there was no dryer, just a drying rack. The TV was good quality and connected to Prime Video easily. I’d highly recommend it if you want a break from the usual hotels.

We stayed here as a group of four and found it really convenient. A wonderful place in Akureyri, clean and nicely decorated, with genuinely comfortable beds. Highly recommend it.
