I've stayed here a number of times for work. It's a big building with plenty of parking, near the swimming pool and about a 10-minute uphill walk from downtown Akureyri. Keep in mind it's used as student accommodation from late August until early June. There's nothing luxurious about it, but it's functional and very clean. There isn't an elevator except for disabled use. Room choices include basic rooms with shared facilities that are much cheaper, rooms with private facilities, and the more modern, larger Edda Plus rooms, which also have private facilities.

I enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back soon :) The place was clean, with a beautiful view of the village. The reception crew and cleaning team were responsible and helpful.

It feels more like a dorm than a regular hotel, since it's used as a hotel in the summer, but that was perfectly fine with me. I had a great room with a private bathroom. When I ran into an issue with the room, the manager helped a lot and went beyond what he needed to do. Thank you.

I was a little concerned after reading some bad reviews, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with a private en-suite bathroom. It's a university building for part of the year, but it worked really well. Highly recommend.

The room was pretty tight, though the TV was a nice surprise until we found out there were no channels. Cleanliness needs attention too, as the bathroom drinking glasses still had lipstick on them. I'm still giving five stars because of the outstanding service. Kasper at the front desk went out of his way to help us think through ways to file an insurance claim for a chipped windshield. Thanks again!
