TOWN SQUARE Apartments

Everything we needed was in the apartment, and it made for a great stay. It was comfortable and nicely furnished.

The location is right in the centre of everything, and the apartment itself was good. The beds were good, most essentials were there, and having coffee mattered to me. Wi-Fi was good, and there’s an LCD screen, but no TV receiver, so you’ll need a device to connect. It was fairly clean, though maintenance needs attention: the bathroom bulbs were out, the shower head was loose, and the apartment door wouldn’t lock unless lifted. I tightened the hinges, which fixed it for now. It was good, but too expensive compared with our other options.

It felt like an apartment: you get a private locked room with a closet, desk, and plenty of outlets, and share a very clean kitchen and bathroom with two or three other rooms. Many places were within walking distance, and the location was very clean. The two downsides were only one shower and toilet for the whole common area, so waiting could be rough, and the central location was VERY noisy at night. Drunk bar people were chatting and laughing loudly even at 1:30am, and I couldn’t sleep.

Room 401 was on the top floor and had views across all of downtown. Finding the place can be tricky, but look between the buildings for a door marked "town square apartments." We struggled with the lockbox, then figured it out. You can walk around the whole town from here, and we’d stay again. Street parking is usually free from 6pm-10am. If it’s your first visit and you want to be downtown, this is the place. Be sure to visit the geothermal public pool, with its cold plunge and really hot tub.
