The hot tub and shared areas gave me somewhere to spend time besides my room, which made the place feel homey. I liked it enough to add an extra night when a snowstorm was coming, since this was where I’d want to be if I got stuck. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were welcoming. After a long day of driving, dinner at the attached restaurant was a great option. Breakfast is available for about $20 extra, which is handy if you haven’t brought groceries, as there isn’t much nearby. The location is right by a historic church and around 20 minutes from the Kerid crater.

A really nice hotel with a great breakfast and staff. It’s well placed for a weekend around the Golden Circle, close to most things and even nearer to Laugarás Lagoon. I’d definitely recommend it 🙂

My earlier experience here was great, but the last one was awful. I’d already paid for two rooms through booking before we arrived. At check-in they asked for my credit card for security, then charged it twice more. So far I’ve paid 100.000 isk instead of 32.000 isk. They weren’t replying, and I didn’t know what to do. I would NOT recommend this place anymore! In the end, though, it turned into a good experience. They were very helpful and sorted out the extra charges. It took a while to get a response at first, but after that the communication was really nice. Thanks for the help and support! 👌🙂

The parking felt a bit far from reception in the snow, ice, and wind. Our room also got a little cold at times. Still, it’s a lovely location out in nature, and the staff gave very good service. They were kind and accommodating.
