Eskiholt Cottages is well placed for exploring the western peninsula of Snæfellsnes. It also works as a stop on the way along the Ring Road, whether you’re heading north clockwise or stopping before going back to Reykjavik or the airport. Our stay in cottage number 3 was less enjoyable because it wasn’t clean. We didn’t feel comfortable using the hot tub, and the kitchen and bathroom weren’t a pleasant place to come back to. I think we left the cottage almost cleaner than we found it.
