Hotel Dalvik - Aurora Leisure

The shared kitchen was nice, and there was free tea or coffee at reception, which serves the whole hotel. The Czech speaking woman at the desk was very nice. We stayed in the section with shared bathrooms, so this wasn’t a standard hotel room. Ours was clean but simple and quite small, with beds and a few wardrobes, no table or chairs. The beds could have been more comfortable. The shared bathroom serves five rooms, and having the toilets in there was a problem.

The kitchen had beautiful mountain views, and we could use the living room area too. There’s a pool and a gas station selling hot food within walking distance. We had a fantastic stay in an adorable room, and it felt like the whole hotel was ours since we were the only guests. The owner had already been locking the front doors because nobody had booked and he was heading out. We’d mistakenly thought our reservation was here, but it was actually for another hotel. When we asked if we could stay, he kindly opened up again, let us in, and checked us in. That was incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommended!

The breakfast came with breathtaking mountain views, and the employees were friendly and kind. The rooms were reasonably clean, though a little run down, but for the price it was amazing. The town is small but has the basics, including a cute local cafe, a grocery store, and a liquor store. The hotel is also down the road from the gas station. Just don’t expect places to be open 24/7 like in America!

Freya and her team were wonderful with our large group tour. They were accommodating and understanding when some last minute circumstances came up, and did a lot for their guests. Such nice people. The location was peaceful and relaxing, and it was a great place to stay.
