We saw the Northern Lights one night, thanks to reception's 1am wake-up call. The hotel is also ideally located for the Blue Lagoon. It's a relatively small place, but the staff and service were great all around. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and liked both the food and the service. Three stars doesn't do it justice. Recommended.

We only stayed two nights, at the end of our ten-day trip, but I'd happily come back. The common areas were very clean and felt just like my living room at home, and the honesty bar was a nice touch. On a cloudy night, they called at midnight to say the lights were out, and I went outside to a very pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly. I'd recommend staying here if you're heading to the Blue Lagoon and want to avoid paying a premium.

Our flight was cancelled, and the airline suddenly brought a busload of us to this hotel for an unplanned night. The family running it had hardly any warning, but got things organized amid the chaos, found rooms, cooked supper and breakfast for everyone, and arranged for us all to get back to the airport. The owners and staff were wonderful hosts and very accommodating to a group of confused, stranded travelers. If I return to Iceland, I'll stay here again.

My wife and I had three glorious nights at this inn. We especially liked the two living room spaces, with complimentary hot cocoa and teas, and the evening fire made everything feel calm. The viewing areas were a lovely warm spot to watch the Northern Lights. Staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and we also had a special surf and turf Valentine's dinner.

We had a great stay and wished we could've added another night. The lounge was lovely, our room was big and spacious, and the food was great. It was a convenient spot for our last night in Iceland, about half a mile from the blue lagoon and around 20 minutes from the airport.
