The restaurant was good, and I enjoyed happy hour. The location was handy, and my room was fine, though the bed linen was really itchy. I liked the thick, soft towel. I didn't try the shower or laundry, and I left before breakfast. The door lock gave me trouble throughout my stay. The staff were very helpful, but it seemed clear the lock was a regular frustration.

The food was great, though we didn't stay overnight, so I can't say anything about the rooms. We got there just before the kitchen closed at 8 and ordered the huge reindeer burger and chicken breast. The prices were very reasonable and the portions generous enough that we took home a box of leftovers. The restaurant and bar felt cosy, with a friendly atmosphere right in the town centre.

We only ate at the restaurant, so I can't speak to the rooms. The Bearnaise burger had a rich, creamy sauce and was excellent, and the Guinness was great too. Prices were affordable. The staff were friendly, service and food both deserved five stars, and the place had a welcoming feel. I'd happily recommend it for food and drinks, and hope to come back soon. 👍👍

After exploring Akureyri, this was a cozy place to unwind. The interior had character, with good music and fun vibes. I had a great time at Akureyri Backpackers Pub, where the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and it was easy to meet other travelers. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the drinks were reasonably priced. A laid-back pub I'd recommend.
