The apartment itself was great, with clean rooms, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen, though we only stayed one night and didn't use it. The noise was unreal, though. People on the floor above us stayed up until 1 IN THE MORNING, and I thought the roof would come down. Then, seven hours later, someone was weed whacking at 8 in the morning.

The apartment windows were level with the sidewalk, so we heard cars and people outside, as well as the upstairs neighbours. I wouldn't have slept without earplugs. The photos gave me the wrong impression: I expected somewhere much bigger and more updated. There were only two towels for our whole 4 day stay, the WiFi was super slow, and the TV had just 4 channels.

We were shocked when we saw the room. The furniture was old and shabby, there was dust and dead insects, and we found mold on both the window frame and ceiling. It looked nothing like the new, clean, comfortable rooms shown on the Luna Apartments website. We'd booked four nights at „Luna Apartments“ for around 800Euros at the end of our trip around Iceland, hoping to relax and visit Reykjavik. On arrival in the evening, we couldn't get the room entry pin code to work. There was no reception check-in, nobody answered our first call to Luna, and on the second attempt we got the phone answering system. After an hour we fortunately managed to get in ourselves. It was late, so I emailed asking for our money back because we wanted to find other accommodation. I got no reply. The next day we found the reception two streets away and asked why they'd ignored the email. The receptionist told us to be patient and said a Luna manager would resolve it by evening. Nothing happened. We returned on day three and had to explain everything again to a different receptionist. We threatened to call our legal assistance. At 22pm that night I got an email offering another room. We declined because we didn't want to move at night, and were glad to leave the apartment at 4am on day four for our early flight home. We're really disappointed. This was our worst experience in a long time, and we travel quite often. For that price we didn't expect a shabby, dirty room with mold, or such a poor response to our concerns.

We stayed in Apartment 50 for our first night in Iceland and were very happy with it. The place was cosy and welcoming, tastefully furnished, comfortable and decently equipped, with good value for money. It's right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of everything. With six people and six large bags, getting everything up the tiny spiral staircase was quite an adventure.

Our apartment was right by a Bonus market, which made it easy to pick up food whenever we needed. It was also central, close to everything, and would be a handy choice for families with kids or anyone staying a while. The room was clean and the kitchenette had enough supplies. We arrived earlier than planned, but the staff and management worked hard to get the apartment ready quickly. It felt more like a 3-star place to me than a 4-star hotel, since these are apartments.
