The harbor views are stunning, and the sky bar opposite the opera House is beautiful. The place itself is lovely, and the staff are fantastic 😍 If you get a room with a view, it’s amazing. You’re right by the waterfront, with shops, the cathedral and all the shopping you need close behind. Bus pickup points are nearby too. A couple of things to watch: apparently there’s no 250 deposit if that isn’t shown in your package tool, but the taxes for two came to $6,300, which wasn’t stated on the jet to holiday. That can take a big chunk out of your spending money. Also check carefully if they upgrade you, because it seems you could end up in a single room when you booked a double. You can’t retrieve that information on jet. 2, so ask for a printout showing what room they’re upgrading you to.

We’ve booked to come back. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast offered a great selection of hot and cold food. In the evening, the Sky Bar was a must for its views across the harbor to the distant mountains. The hotel overlooks the sea and is just a short walk from the centre.

The location was nice, and the staff were great, always informative and helpful. The rooms are a little thin, but otherwise okay. You can hear doors banging, and some guests don’t keep the noise down. After a long day out, it was nice to return to a clean room. We liked the Sky bar and the snacks, and the cocktails were great.

The beds had an odd headboard that was uncomfortable if you sat upright, but otherwise this was a great base for visiting. The staff were great, and the location is perfect for exploring town or heading out on day trips by coach or in your own car.
