Bakki Hostel and Apartments

The real highlight was the owner’s kindness. Our rental car broke down about 20 minutes away, and after we’d spent well over an hour trying to sort it out, I called to say we’d be late. The concierge, or perhaps the owner, came to pick us up and bring us back. That generosity saved the day. They even offer mittens knitted by his mother and grandmother in case you forgot yours. We also had a very comfortable room with a kitchen, a warm shower, a good bed, a dining table, and a sleeper couch. It worked really well for two, and could fit a family of four. We’d stay again for the quality and price alone. They also made our room available two hours early when we asked. Strongly recommended for the clean, comfortable rooms and the above-and-beyond service.

The employees were really friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and in good condition. The apartment itself was cozy, fully equipped, and one of my best stays in Iceland. I’d clearly recommend it.

The owner and I had a really interesting, friendly conversation during my stay. Bakki Hostel is also handy for getting to nearby activities, the airport, or Reykjavik, and it has all the amenities a traveler could want, plus a little more. Highly recommended.

We spent a few nights here in January and loved the clean, beautiful space. Communication was great, and there are all sorts of beautiful places easy to get to from here. 10/10, highly recommend. I can’t wait to come back!
