My boyfriend and I stayed the night while visiting Gullfoss. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the location was perfect for getting to the main attractions.

The rooms were clean and spacious, the bathroom was too, and breakfast had a great selection. But what made our stay unforgettable was seeing the Aurora Borealis with our own eyes, thanks to the kind, welcoming receptionist Yulia. We were at dinner when she asked if we wanted to see the northern lights outside. We rushed out and left our food behind. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When we got back, she even reheated our soup because it had gone cold. We'd gladly return if we get the chance.

The food was good, the hotel was very nice and well located, and the staff were kind. We forgot our iPods, and the manager went out of their way to return them, even driving to the post office. They charged the iPods so they could be traced. We offered to pay, but they wouldn't charge us. What more can I say?

A lovely, quaint place to stay in this area, with spacious, well-equipped rooms. The restaurant was great for dinner, and the lamb was fantastic. The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. A real gem.
