We were only here for one night, but had a good stay. The room was very nice, and the large restroom facilities down the hall were really clean. The location was pretty good, too. We walked to dinner and then all the way to the port to look around town. The owner was kind and quick to answer our questions by email. When we arrived, he welcomed us, chatted with us, shared useful details about Iceland and the area, and warned us about the weather forecast for the next morning.

I made several good friends among the other guests, and the owner was funny and helpful. We talked about all sorts of things. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, the view was nice, and Stikkisholmur is awesome. Before I caught the ferry, we had a fresh Icelandic breakfast catered professionally. Everything tasted good and authentic. I’d definitely go back. I think I read at the place that the name literally means “Alma's Home-guesting” in English, though I could be wrong.
