The igloos are cute and unusual, but that was the only good part for us. The man who greeted us looked scruffy and groggy, and I couldn’t tell if he’d just woken up or was drunk. The shared kitchen was filthy and smelled awful, with microwaves dumped on the floor and a fridge. We went elsewhere for breakfast because we wouldn’t have eaten there. The showers smelled bad, were tiny and broken, and the bathrooms had the same problems. The wooden walkways were ruined, slippery, and dirty. In one place where the walkway was missing, there was a radiator in its place. A horrible place.

The water pressure in our caravan was weak, but it didn’t affect how happy we were with the stay. The caravans were clean and new, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s also a perfect spot for seeing the Northern Lights. I’d recommend it if you want to try staying in a caravan or igloo 😉

The caravan was clean, and that was the one positive. The heater was weak, and the igloo tent wasn’t ready to use, with heater pipes and tools all over the floor. It was freezing inside, like a fridge, and there was no water supply in the caravan. I wouldn’t recommend Iceland igloo village to anyone.
