Hólar Cottages and Apartments

The view from the small terrace over the mountains is peaceful and magnificent. The house was warm when we arrived, and the price is reasonable. It's old-fashioned, but does the job, with three bedrooms, six good-quality beds, and a TV that only works with Netflix. You can get in without reception; they sent us the keybox code beforehand. Towels and shower gel are provided. There are no nearby shops or restaurants, so bring groceries. We'd recommend it to anyone who likes quiet. Thanks to the hosts, whom we didn't meet.

The furnishings are a little dated, but they're practical and simple, which suits the relatively low price. The view is priceless, and on a sunny day you can sit on the terrace and completely unwind. I'd love to return.

Everything felt deserted and run-down. Aside from a small university and a few residents, the area was completely empty. Worst accommodation ever, absolutely not recommended.

The cottage is small but very functional, and it was spotless. The location on its own peninsula feels almost magical, and the nearby bar is lovely. Earlier complaints about cleanliness and service seem out of date.
