We spent five nights here with our son. A lovely, snug place surrounded by nature, with comfy beds, Wi-Fi and a fully equipped kitchen.

The room was clean, the staff were lovely, and the price was very good. Vestri Garðsauki is well placed for some of the South Coast’s biggest natural attractions, with Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and Gljúfrabúi Waterfall about a 15-minute drive away. When the sky is clear, the lack of mountains to the north gives you an open view of the northern lights, even when they’re only around 20° north.

The blizzard closed the road to Vik, so we ended up staying here and were glad we found it. Comfortable, with great facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. Don’t be put off by the broken sign!
