Bank Guesthouse

It looked a little sketchy at first, haha, but turned out to be a good spot for a night. It's around a nine-minute drive to the airport, so make sure you have a rental car for the trip over the next morning. The rooms were small, cozy, and clean, with self-service. The lady kindly let us leave our bags before check-in. There was just one upstairs bathroom, though, and I'm not sure how many rooms shared it. Still, a good place for a night or two.

I booked months ahead, then the property cancelled my reservation just two weeks before I was due to arrive. Completely irresponsible.

After KLM bumped us and we arrived many hours later than planned, this was a welcome place to land. The room was small but clean, and the shared kitchen downstairs came in handy. There was plenty of free parking. Our floor had two toilets for lots of rooms. It would help to have a mirror in every room, since people needing one seemed to occupy the toilet area. A mirror in each room might ease the traffic jam. Same idea for hairdryers, either one in each room or some in a public area. Just a suggestion. The little museum, with the old bank vault from its former bank days, was nice. A good little hotel for a night's rest after a long day. Thanks.

Who on earth is giving this four stars? This is beyond basic hostel accommodation. It's a long way from the airport, over an hour on foot, and there was no shuttle bus. The table had coffee stains, there was nowhere to store things, and the bathroom was shared. Towels were like loincloths, the lighting was really dim, and the linoleum floorboards were warped. Spend the extra money and avoid it.
