Our family room was actually two rooms, one with three single beds and the other with a double. Everything was very clean, and the employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast costs extra, but coffee and tea are complimentary around the clock. There’s also a separate kitchen area to store and prepare your own food. I’d definitely stay again.

The water pressure was lovely, and the hotel is really convenient for the airport. I’d just boarded my coach when I realized I’d left my AirPods in my room. I emailed the hotel, and they replied within an hour. They’ve since made it back to me in less than 15 days, which has made me so happy. I 100% recommend this place. Thank you!

The closest restaurant or market is a 15-20 minute walk, and there’s no airport shuttle, so I spent $80 on taxis. For $200 a night, this was easily one of the worst “hotels” I’ve stayed in. It felt just like old US army barracks. The mattress seemed at least 20 years old, the TV didn’t work at first, and the room smelled like an outhouse until I opened the window, which I had to leave open all night. The shower pressure was weak and the water only lukewarm. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

The people were nice, but there was no hot water for a shower in my private room. I told the staff, and they just said that’s how it is. Most places in Iceland have really hot showers, so it was a bummer not to be able to shower before leaving. I booked through hotels.com, but this is really a hostel.
