We stayed for one night at the start of the year, finishing our trip near the airport. The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean, with the toilet and shower in separate rooms. Heated floors in the shower room were especially nice. For what was offered, the price seemed reasonable. Keflavík Airport is close, about a 5,000 ISK taxi ride away. The town center is a bit far, though there’s a large supermarket within a 30-minute walk. We’d hoped for an ocean view, but from our first-floor room that wasn’t really possible. First-floor rooms seem a bit older, as other reviews mention. Our toilet door didn’t lock and the toilet kept running, but the hotel replied quickly on Booking.com chat and fixed both issues.

We could hear the restaurant server helping us after I never received the check-in email. This is a self-service hotel, so get the entry details from them early. The hotel is close-ish to the airport and looks out over the harbour. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The long shower curtain kept water from getting all over the room, though it gets slimy.

We ate in the restaurant at a table facing the sea, where it was lovely watching the birds go by. The food was nice, though at Icelandic prices. Outside the wind was pretty fresh, so it felt good to be warm and cosy inside. Nice location.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the peaceful setting and lovely views made the stay more special. My only concern was the lock system. They should improve it.

The property sent no access details despite my trying several times to contact them, and there’s no reception. It was a total hotel disaster. The front door slammed loudly all night, and we could hear everything from every other room. Would recommend it to an enemy.
