We loved how peaceful and cozy it was, and our hosts were so kind. Shops and places to eat are just a short walk away. Our room had its own bathroom. There’s a hot tub for everyone, though it was so cold and windy the night we were there that we skipped it. Next time! One tip: the grocery store opens at 10 and most restaurants in town start serving at 11, so grab a snack at the airport if you arrive early.
The hotel is wonderfully quiet, and the owners made me feel more welcome than I ever have at a hotel. When my flight was delayed by a day, the family at Nupan Deluxe helped with everything I needed and turned my extra day in Keflavik into a memorable one. It felt like finding a peaceful home near the airport, just 10 minutes away. They got me to check-in right on time with their shuttle, and there’s a backyard jacuzzi where you can soak under the stars. The hotel itself is beautiful and has everything you need.
We spent four nights here and absolutely loved it. Our family room had a kitchen and a private shower and toilet, and it was immaculate. The hosts also gave us lots of recommendations. Keflavik is about 10 minutes from the airport and 40 minutes from the capital. It worked really well as a base, with plenty of eateries and easy access to the airport and main roads. If you’re after a city break, this probably isn’t the spot, but we’d definitely come back.
Bonus is only two minutes away, with plenty of other shops nearby. The hotel itself was always tidy and quiet, and our room was clean and warm. It’s cozy and has everything you need. The owners are lovely and helpful with anything. For me, it’s the best hotel I’ve stayed at, and a perfect place for anyone.
We caught a massive aurora display from the backyard, so there was no need to head out. The owner also kindly arranged a free ride to the airport at 5:30 in the morning. It’s a lovely guesthouse, and the warm common room made us feel at home. We loved staying here. It’s ideal for either your first night after arriving in Iceland or your last before flying out.
