The weather was bad, so I needed somewhere to stay, and the host made a tough situation feel easy. They were so welcoming and helpful, and really made sure I was comfortable. Great hospitality, I’d happily recommend it.

The area was lovely to explore, and Hotel Austur felt like a hidden gem. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Ivar was the real highlight, so warm and helpful, and it was clear the owner cared about making guests feel at home. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

We got to Hotel Austur around 18:00 and found the key waiting on the counter, so getting in was easy. The room and bathroom were clean, and there wasn’t anything to complain about. Breakfast came with the room, simple but good. We had a good stay and would recommend it.

The location was amazing, with the Suprr market just a minute away, and we even saw Aurora from the hotel. Our group of 20 from India was pretty loud, but the team treated us kindly. Service was superb and management replied quickly. The rooms are very near. Don’t be put off by the negative reviews.
