Northern Comfort Apartments

Being able to cook a few meals in the kitchenette was a real help with food costs, and there’s a supermarket right beside the hotel. Free parking is across the street, and Hallgrímskirkja Church is about a 20-minute walk away. I also appreciated the shared bathroom in the hallway and being able to leave things in a storage locker before check-in. It’s a small place with just six units, so it was wonderfully quiet and private. I hardly heard anyone and only realized we had neighbors on the last day. My unit was clean and well kept. I had a comfortable, peaceful stay and would come back.

I was locked out of my room after being accused of narcotic misuse, even though I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. They refused to refund me, and despite asking several times, I still haven’t received any proof or evidence for the accusation.

The check-in and checkout were simple and well organized, and the apartment was spotless with a well equipped kitchen. There’s free parking across the street, and the city center is about a 15-minute walk. We stayed for two nights while travelling around Iceland. If you’re using Reykjavík as a base to see the city and nearby areas, I’d really recommend these apartments as an affordable option. Great value for money, five stars.

The apartment was clean and practical, with a really comfortable bed and a kitchenette that works for small meals. There’s a Bonus supermarket right next door, which is the most affordable one in Reykjavík, and we found free parking across the street for our rental car. It’s a comfortable walk of about 25 minutes to the famous church, shops and restaurants nearby. A great place to stay if you’re in Reykjavík for more than a couple of days. Highly recommend.
