Nordic Hostel

We had a comfortable, quiet stay for five nights over New Year and would happily come back. The room had four beds split into two sections, which made the double-bed setup calmer and more comfortable than a typical hostel. The bathrooms were clean and looked after. There were around seven rooms with a shower, toilet, and sink, and even though timing might matter, we never had to wait. The hostel is a little outside the city center, but it's about a five-minute walk and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The price felt reasonable and the value was excellent. There's a bar attached, with well-priced beer at happy hour, plus a kitchen. We liked bringing pizza into the bar and having it with beer.

The staff and volunteers were really friendly, and there was something sweet at reception every day, which made the stay even nicer. The place is very clean and modern, and the bathrooms don't feel like hostel bathrooms. They provide towels, so there's no need to put on your own sheets. The whole place has a cosy, living-room kind of feel. Sitting at the bar was one of my favorite parts.

I liked relaxing in the lounge and bar with the chilled-out music, especially while trying one of the craft beers on tap. I had Snorri beer and ended up chatting with some locals who come in for a drink. It was my first time in a hostel, and I enjoyed my stay at the Nordic Hostel. The shared kitchen and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable and clean too. It's only a short walk to the center for bars and restaurants.

Federico, the hostel manager, was one of the nicest people I've met while traveling. My stay was incredible. The hostel is spotless and modern, with clean, new, private spaces that feel thoughtfully designed. It comes across more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. Hands down the best hostel I've stayed in.
