ODDSSON Midtown Hotel

My grown-up son and I shared a spacious, comfortable triple room with a kitchenette for seven nights in early December. Everything felt well thought out, and the location was perfect, with shops and a well-served bus stop only minutes away. Breakfast was amazing, and every member of the team was lovely. I booked the trip after I was unexpectedly widowed last year. We needed to do something kind and uplifting for ourselves, and the hotel team made sure our stay was perfect. I can’t thank them enough. It was truly magical.

The calm, welcoming atmosphere and helpful, friendly staff made our stay at ODDSSON Hotel really comfortable. The hotel is modern and clean, with stylish rooms that were great for relaxing after a day out. It’s well placed for getting into the city, with plenty of nearby amenities. Excellent value, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reykjavík.

The rooms were comfortable and the location worked well for pickups. There are a few buses to the city center, and free parking is a plus, though it was difficult to find a spot. We were there for four nights, and our room wasn’t cleaned once. We only saw a poster at the end saying guests need to ask for cleaning, but nobody had told us that in advance. The staff were friendly, though there’s no reception, so you have to call if you need anything. Fine for a few nights.

Nice and calm, just outside the city, with easy access to strætó, the yellow bus and Hreyfill taxis. Pizza Hut is around the corner, and 24/7 Hagkaup is only a few hundred metres away. Awesome stuff.
