We’re glad we chose this place. The surroundings are stunning, breakfast was generous, and the staff were polite and helpful. Our room was clean and a great size. Fantastic hotel.

Kathey was especially kind when Expedia had mixed up our reservation. After 8 hours of travel and 15 hours exploring, we’d been awake for over 30 hours. She gave us our key, pointed out where the geothermal pools were, and said she’d sort out the problem and update us in the morning. We were exhausted and grateful, and she called within half an hour to say it was fixed. Thanks to her and all the staff. The breakfast buffet had a huge range, including eggs, sausage, bacon, fish, oats, cheese, toast, toppings, and hot drinks, with plenty more. The WiFi was great. The views are ideal for looking for the northern lights, and they offer wake up calls when the lights are out. This place deserves a 7-star option. A must stay when visiting Iceland!

With some luck, you can watch the northern lights from a very clean jacuzzi. The hotel is cosy and near the national reservation, and its separated room layout feels more like a holiday colony than a hotel, so it doesn’t feel crowded. Breakfast was great. I’d have preferred a walk in shower, since our room had a shower and bath combo.

Even though hotel breakfast buffets all seem much the same, the food here was cooked properly and with care. Their chef is one of the best hotel chefs in Iceland. Nice hotel!
