Those little cottages are adorable, and we really loved how private they felt. We'd happily stay again and recommend them. The curtains didn't block enough light for Iceland's bright nights at this time of year, though, and the pillows were as thin and flat as the ones we've found in Icelandic guesthouses so far.

A quiet, restful spot, with a friendly owner who was quick to respond. The cabins feel modern and cozy, and have everything you need.

The owner was so helpful and friendly over text, though we never got to meet her. The lodges have everything you might need and the views are amazing. It's a remote little hideout, and there's a short gravel stretch to drive, but it's well worth it for a couple of restful nights between hikes nearby. A perfect place to slow down and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was roomy and clean. The guesthouse itself was clean too, with clear arrival instructions. It's set back a little from the main road along a gravel road, but worked perfectly for our road trip around the country. We stayed one night.

The setting is stunning, and we loved seeing the horses nearby. We booked Ravencliff lodge for six days at full capacity, with the main house and both cabins, while our film crew shot a short film around Snæfellsnes in early February. The hosts were wonderful, flexible and helpful, keeping us updated on road conditions and helping with whatever we needed. After heavy snowfall, they even arranged to have the private driveway cleared for us. The main house was cozy, with large comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. The cabins were cozy too, with good showers, a large bed and a small kitchenette. I think I also spotted an electric car charging outlet on the barn, which is rare in rural Iceland. I'd recommend staying at Ravencliff!
