Hótel Varmahlíð

The staff were excellent and friendly, breakfast was good, and we were happy and comfortable during our one-night June stay. The building does look a bit older. I wish we'd had dinner there, it looked and smelled so good, but we ate at the local convenience store. The town is nice and the people are wonderful. I'd stay again.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the cooking was phenomenal. Breakfast was flawless too. The rooms are older and the shower has a bit of limescale, but everything was clean and tidy, and the window had a very nice view. I stayed one night and found the visit very positive. There was everything I needed, and I'd recommend the hotel.

The room was clean and cozy, and the hotel itself was well cared for. Dinner was very good, with the meat cooked just right. Thanks to the lady chef from Poland, and a big thank you to Wiloetta and Mateusz for being so kind and making our stay pleasant. Service was superb and professional. Breakfast was top notch too, though I did miss having fruit.

The night staff quickly moved us when we reported that our first room smelled strongly of cigarettes. There was plenty of space, but the hotel could use minor renovation. It was clean by American standards, though less so by Icelandic standards. I don't think I'd stay here again.
