I couldn’t get there because of the weather, with 50 cm of snow and more still falling, so I asked for a refund. I wrote a polite message, but the owner replied rudely, saying, “The weather is fine here, I can’t reimburse,” without even a hello. I understand a refund wasn’t required, but a bit of kindness costs nothing. I also asked for a partial refund and got nothing. Since it was low season, I doubt anyone would have booked, so I don’t think they would have lost money. I lost €160. Hope they use it well.

We left and booked another hotel after seeing the room. There were flies, crumbs on the floor and a chair, a hair band with hair on the bathroom floor, and a hole that looked like it might have mold. The ceiling fixture had exposed wires, and the mountain view also included an old shed and a car. I was also unimpressed by the caulk between the walls and floor. The place felt cheap and low class to us. Unless the owners make repairs and improvements, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was clean and pleasant, and ours had a private bathroom. We only used the kitchen to make coffee in the morning. Compared with other places we stayed in Iceland, it was fairly expensive.

A lovely farm with 600 sheep and a few horses. The owners and staff were kind, and the rooms were clean and well kept, though not the newest. The farm itself is gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, even an oven and dishwasher. 10/10.

The guesthouse was unstaffed, though we were told the host lived nearby and could be called if needed. Guests take their shoes off inside, and our room was clean. We stayed on 06/28 in the small room at the northeast corner. We arrived wet, but there were only two hangers and nowhere to dry our clothes, so we left them on the floor. The towels were rough, and the roller shades reduced the light but didn’t make the room dark, which made it hard for me to fall asleep. Finding breakfast elsewhere was difficult because most places didn’t open by 8 a.m. I should have looked up nearby options first. I wonder if the guesthouse has changed owners, because our stay didn’t match the reviews we’d read.
