Kria Hotel

We left feeling the price was hard to justify, especially since the stay looked quite different from the online photos. Hotel Kría's rooms felt like basic container-style units, much like budget highway hotels. The materials seemed cheap and plasticky, and there were worn areas that hadn't been properly fixed or refreshed. Sound carried badly too, so ordinary conversations in neighboring rooms were easy to hear. The room views weren't what we expected. The sea view looked out over a road and a petrol station, while the mountain view faced a camper parking area. Vans were only a few meters from the windows, leaving very little privacy. Breakfast was disappointing as well. With half an hour left before closing, we asked for more smoked salmon and were told, quite rudely, that they wouldn't refill anything anymore. A lot of the buffet was already gone, and about 10 more guests came in after us to find it even emptier. We should have paid more attention to the comments, because they reflected what the stay was really like.

Being right in town was handy, with restaurants, shops, and grocery options nearby. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable. We had a very nice suite with a tub and two TVs, though one was broken. I forgot to mention it to them, so hopefully they see this post. The room got hot, so bring light pajamas and open a window.

The Drangar restaurant was absolutely excellent and made the stay even more memorable. At Hotel Kria, we also found the staff friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel was modern, very clean, and well maintained, with a warm, welcoming feel. Our room wasn't especially spacious, but it was comfortable and well designed, and the magnificent view added a lot. Breakfast was very good, with a nice range of quality products. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back.
