Hotel Terme Belvedere

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen, with some of the worst service imaginable. The staff were arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. Our room was disgusting, the shower filthy, and its water wouldn’t drain. There were bugs on the carpet, no shampoo or hand wash in the bathroom, and no bed covers or duvets. We froze overnight and staff wouldn’t do anything about it. I’d booked a double room and made sure it was specifically a double, but got two single beds instead. They also tried to charge me €8 just to unload our suitcases outside, even though I wasn’t parking there. The booking said swimming and sauna services were included, but on arrival staff rudely tried to charge extra. When I showed them the inclusion, they just said it wasn’t included. I was extremely disappointed and really recommend that nobody stay here.

I booked for seven days and asked whether I could check in a few minutes past the cutoff, since my flight was due into Venice at 18:10 and the deadline was 19:00. The hotel said that arriving after 19:00 would void my reservation, but the booking still went ahead. I cancelled and called them within an hour of booking to ask for a refund. The employee who answered was rude and refused. I lost €300 to this establishment. Whatever you do, don’t book this place online.

The staff were really arrogant and unpleasant. As soon as I entered the room, I wanted to leave, though I’d already paid, luckily for just one night. One of the worst choices I made on my holiday in Italy. If you’re homeless, I could recommend it though. 😉

I found bed bugs in the bed and didn’t sleep all night. The staff were also very rude and unprofessional, and both the pool and sauna smelled like shit. I won’t be going back, for plenty of reasons.
