Mandra Edera

The countryside is lovely, the hotel was very good, and the food was good too. Everyone was friendly. Stefano gave my eight-year-old daughter a wonderful riding lesson, and she loved it. Thank you! Highly recommend.

We stayed at Mandra Edera from 8 to 11 Aug and absolutely loved it. It's a great fit for horse lovers, and we found something to enjoy throughout the day. The garden suites are spacious enough for a family of four, with a terrace and comfortable chairs. We liked sitting there with wine under the bright stars, and watching horses graze nearby in the morning. There's also a nice garden pool, which we used between classes from morning into the afternoon. Meals and drinks are hearty and reasonably priced: 25 euro for a three-course meal, drinks, and dessert. The horses are lovely and graze freely around the large gardens. They seem happy and very well treated. Bring carrots if you'd like to feed and play with them. There are different horses for different needs, whether you want to ride or jump, are big or small, experienced or new to it. They're trained to be calm and suitable even for absolute beginners. The instructors are cheerful and helpful. Thanks to Stefano and the team, who are experienced and look after both your enjoyment and safety. We tried two of the excursions, though there are options for different places, experience levels, and durations. The three-hour forest ride around the estate was great. The beach ride began in the forest and finished by the water, which was the highlight. Paola guided us, and she's a lovely, fun instructor. She gave my wife the confidence to trot and canter on her own for the first time. All the staff were great and did their best to fit our requests, including lesson and excursion times, food, and fun. Guests also have a family-like feeling and happily spend time together. We look forward to our next holiday here, with lots of love and respect for these real horse people.

The horses are lovely, and so is the place!

The suites are genuinely roomy, fairly clean, and have all the comforts, including a fridge and safe. The pool is handy, with both a sheltered section and an outdoor area. Horse rides and lessons are available too. Set among greenery, the hotel feels like an enchanting escape from the rush of civilization. It's wonderfully peaceful, with little sound beyond the horses neighing. They sometimes leave messes, but these are cleaned up almost right away. The food was excellent on our first visit, though it could have been better the second time. A perfect place if you like peace and quiet.
