The mattresses are firm but high quality, which suited me as someone who came to explore the mountains. If you're hoping for a soft luxury bed, though, you might not be as happy. Hotel Londra is excellent value, but it isn't a luxury hotel. A little peeling paint and some faded rugs only add charm to me. Alessandro, please don't change anything! What makes this place brilliant is the relaxed, generous welcome. The attentive staff are patient and friendly, and the hotel is well set up for people walking or biking. The food was the best part: dinner was my best meal in Italy, with fabulous homemade traditional dishes and brilliant service. Breakfast was just as impressive, on a par with a Parador in Spain or another four or five star hotel. During my visit I counted two cakes and three kinds of homemade biscuits, and you can ask for properly made coffee as often as you like. I can't recommend the hotel enough.

We were looked after really well by our host, and both dinner and breakfast were very good. The hotel is neat, clean, and tidy, with nice staff. It was also motorcycle friendly.
