Il Limoneto - Azienda Agrituristica

Il Limonento is beautiful and peaceful, with lovely views of Mt Etna and the sea, and a stunning lemon orchard to wander through. The accommodation was very clean and tidy, and there are several good restaurants a short drive away. Fabrizio was kind, helpful, and full of good advice. I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but this is a lovely, relaxing place. The rooms were very clean and well equipped, and the owner was super friendly and helpful. A car would be handy, though you don't need one. The next train station is a 15-minute walk, along a nice path through citrus farms and trees.

The apartments are clean, comfortable, and spacious, and for us Il Limoneto feels like a home away from home, whether we want to be tourists or live like locals. We enjoy going to the local grocery store for produce, fresh bread, and chicken for the grill. And gelato, don't forget the gelato. We've been back six times since discovering Il Limoneto in 2005. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and it's an easy base for day trips around eastern Sicily. We've taken the funicular up Mt. Etna, eaten chocolate in Modica, strolled Noto's pedestrian zone, and climbed Caltagirone's ceramic-adorned steps. On our latest trip in October 2016, our son and his family came too. On their first trip abroad, they explored on their own, found excellent beaches, and got to experience the charm and hospitality of the Sicilian people. Fabrizio is a wonderful host, always quick to help and able to point us toward great restaurants we'd never have found ourselves. Fabrizio is such a lovely person, and he always has good suggestions for things to do. Limonetto is a beautiful, peaceful, clean place, a great base for anyone wanting to explore the east of Sicily.
