We came back to this house with friends after five years, and this time it was a letdown. The shower drains were blocked, so we stood in dirty water, and there was dust, hair on the bathroom floor, cobwebs indoors and out, and dead bugs on the sheets. Ants were on the kitchen counter and coming through a hole by the French window, with another anthill under the pool boards. The loft had loose poles and damp walls. Handles were broken, the air conditioning leaked, some doors were left unlocked with no keys, many lights didn't work, and the path to the pool felt unsafe. The pool itself wasn't clean, with dirt on the bottom. We were told barbecue supplies would be provided, but at 9:30 PM on August 15th we had to go home to get charcoal. The house has potential, but it's very old, neglected, and dirty.

We had a wonderful weekend in this lovely Sicilian country house, enjoying its terraces and outdoor space. The decor is thoughtful, with two beautiful, spacious bedrooms and two smaller rooms upstairs. The kitchen has everything we needed. The pool isn't the most attractive, but it's large enough for a refreshing swim under the garden's orange trees before aperitivo. We never got tired of that stunning view of Mount Etna. The owner was flexible and accommodating about our schedule, thank you again! 🙏

It's a long way from the city. The Booking.com pictures are very misleading, and the house is in poor condition. The planks on the way to the pool were broken, and I fell through one. Their screws were loose too, so be careful with children. Repairs are needed throughout before this house is rented again. We paid for cleaning, but there were cobwebs everywhere, even underneath the chairs and beds. It doesn't look like the place has been maintained. Avoid it.

A lovely country house for unwinding, only minutes from the sea and Mount Etna!

Rented through Airbnb, and the listing photos don't match the house. It's poorly maintained and doesn't have enough equipment.
