The ricotta ravioli were lovely, but the cod was the real surprise. It was probably the best-prepared cod I’ve ever had, and the house white wine was excellent too. There were several wait staff checking in and keen to help. Upstairs, the restaurant had a lively local crowd at lunch, cheerful and family-like. A good bet for a great local experience.

We had a really enjoyable lunch in a friendly, informal setting. The staff were young, helpful, and quick. The local food was authentic and good quality, simply but nicely presented, and the prices were very fair for what you get. Just what we were looking for. Recommended!

My tagliatelle with meat sauce was outstanding. The people I was with loved the crostoni with caramelised onions, and said the beef on bread with mushrooms and the tagliata de pollo were both very tasty. I’d definitely recommend this place.

The room was clean, but it felt basic and dated, especially the bathroom, which needs renovation. We had a fridge, but it didn’t work. Staff quickly brought a replacement after we told them, though that one didn’t work either. The restaurant seems to get most of the attention, while the accommodation side gets less. We stayed here as the starting point for our Via Francigena trip, booked in advance by our tour operator. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast had plenty of packaged items such as croissants, along with cereal, granola, fruit, and yogurt, so there was enough for a decent meal before setting off.

The rooms are above the restaurant on a noisy intersection, so there was noise late into the night. The room itself was dated and very basic. I tried to relax in the afternoon, but the owner's dog downstairs barked the whole time while the owner watched TV loudly and yelled at it. Dinner was advertised for 7, but when I went down then, I was told I couldn’t eat until 8. Then, less than 15 minutes later, I walked past and saw a group being seated for dinner. Breakfast was long-life products, including croissants wrapped in plastic.
