We came for a weekend away from the city and stayed in an apartment that was basically half a house. It had a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen, along with the things we needed, like towels, utensils, a fridge and hairdryer. There was no air conditioning, but the owners left fans, which we didn’t need. Surrounded by nature, with a pool and hot tub in the garden, it was a beautiful and totally relaxing stay. Finding the place was tricky because GPS sent us elsewhere. The other issue was the rough pebble road, which could damage a low or sporty car, with all its ups and downs.

We were told we could use the pool, but after arriving at night we found the water green the next morning. They said the algae had been there for five days, despite promising pool access. That may be why it was the only available agriturismo during the week of the Risorgimento festival in Acquasparta. They should have told us, and learned how to do the job first.

The people running the place are as wonderful as the place itself.
